Both are good web hosting companies but I prefer HostGator. I have used them for a few years and they have always had great customer service.

Which one should I get – Justhost or Hostgator?
I have three WordPress sites and want to host them, but there are mixed reviews about various companies. I’ve zeroed down to two – Justhost and Hostgator. Money is a factor, but not sacrifizing the uptime. The Uptime and unlimited (space, domain and email) are two most important factors. Which one is better- justhost or hostgator. Please advice with an example of your sites.

Hostgator Review Anyone?
Hi. Does anyone have a website that is hosted by Hostgator? If so, what do you think of it? Also, do you make money from your website? (Google Adsense?) Lastly, which package did you purchase from Hostgator?
Thanks and feel free to provide a link!

Hosting reviews? GoDaddy, Netfirms, Yahoo, etc…?
I’ve been unable to find a reliable website with credible hosting reviews. Here’s what I’m looking for:
1- multiple domains
2- low monthly prices (under 10 USD per month)
3- no annual commitments
4- responsive customer service
5- no push marketing strategy (I currently use GoDaddy, and they push like nothing I’ve ever seen before)
6- ease-of-use (Yahoo’s interface is extremely user-friendly)
7- 200gb of storage and 2000 gb of bandwidth (not asking a lot here)
So, what’s the deal here? HostGator seems like the obvious choice, but I think they use deceptive marketing practices, including the use of sister sites, such as Blue Host and Host Monster. Yahoo won’t allow me to use multiple domains with one hosting account. GoDaddy is reasonably priced, but the user-panel is extremely unfriendly and they use aggressive marketing strategies. Netfirms bills quarterly maintenance fees without annual contracts.
Once again… What’s the deal?

What is the best web hosting?
I am planning of having my own website, perhaps host multiple domains, my first choice is actually webhostingpad.com, but then, i read so many reviews about their scam, I get confused. I also checked on justhost and read negative feedback.
Godaddy and Hostgator are actually good, but then, these two are quite expensive.
Based on experience, which among so many webshostings out there, works best and offer competitive price and services?
help please
Thanks!

Looking for a good web hosting company?
I am looking for an new hosting company after the horrible experience I am having with my current one.
I am really interested in company offering a reliable uptime and support. My sites relies heavily on database and so on. I narrowed down my search so far to Hostmonster and Hostgator and BlueHost, but there are mixed reviews about all of over the net. Any Advice or experience offered in this domain will be much appreciated?

Best overall webhost?
I want to put my site that i have just finished online and am stuck between a couple of hosts. In the reviews justhost seem to be the best from what i have seen but hostgator are catching my eye also. O already have my own domain and i wouldn’t mind paying up to £7 per month if i get good service including technical support. I live in england if that makes a difference.
Any suggestions?
thanks

XtraOrbit Company Review?
Hey guys,
I’d like some of you to tell me is xtraorbit.com legit or scam, i searched the internet, many saying that they don’t host and that they’re a huge scam and some saying they’re not. But… same way some saying they’re scamed by HostGator and many say it’s best hosting company. So, i’d need someone who knows or, even better, used their services to tell me are they legit and do they fulfill what they promise on promotions? Or they just steal money and provide you with no hosting at all?
Thanks in advance,
Calvin K says:
One of my measures is to look for whether they have their own data centers. If they have their own building and data center, it pretty much tells you that they are legit and reliable enough. If they have their own data centers, chances are, they also have their own tech and support departments standing by for your assistance. With that in mine, companies like hostgator, 1and1 and/or aplus.net are good enough.
I personally use hostgator, 1and1 for webhostings and aplus.net for domain names. I like all of them but I feel like hostgator has better service than 1&1.
Try hostgator.com

I’m drowning in a sea of Web hosting choices!!! please help!?
I’ve been looking for a web host for the first time and I’ve spent weeks sorting through the staggering amount of information from dozens of different web host ranking websites, etc. I’d love feedback from the unbiased users on Y! answers
-need a good basic web host
-would like to ultimately host 3 websites on one account
-expect the websites to be small, simple (2 are for a small start up biz and one personal)
-primarily use a Mac, although I have access to PC
-like the shared hosting plan prices but don’t know who to choose
-need the domain name(s) too
I’m finding that the user reviews are all over the place – like one website will have 100% glowing positive reviews of Lunarpages and then the next one will tell you it’s a nightmare; then you get the same thing for Hostgator, and now I don’t know who to believe about any of the dozens of choices I’ve looked at.
Sharing Mind says:
i know there are so many choices. the web hosting market is so competitive. therefore you need to expect what kind of fighting going on for getting customer. don’t worry about them but what you should really concern is how many domain you need for a short term maybe like for a year or two. about domain name some web hosting offer free domain for a year and even there are company offering free domain name for life and usually if you only continue to host with them. for web space one page of website average around 15-30 Kbs. so if you making a small biz website with 100 page then it needs 1.5 – 3 Mb of spaces. but if content has a lot of images then it would be more. so you figure out that first. a lot of big web hosting company are offering a lot of web space like 200-300G or 20000 – 30000 Mb but only allow one website to occupy that space. that plan is not for beginners but for biz already thriving and big. I suggest you find a hosting plan somewhere around USD3 – USD5 with web space around 500MB to 5 G with bandwidth somewhere around 50G – 200G and allowed 3-5 hosted domain(pay special attention on this when looking at the hosting plan – ask them if you can find that at their website) or multiple sites. it is enough for a startup biz. hope it helps.

I need an excellent site builder. No html experience. Page wizard and Site Builder dont work for me.?
Ok. I signed up with hostgator.com but was very frustrated. The price was good, and it had good reviews, but certain things required html experience. If i chose a custom page i would have to know html to change its name from “custom page”, which i obviously didnt want, to something like “reviews.” Also, for the banner i would have to know html. I dont even need a banner, really, just a space for a logo.
I just want a page builder, no html, as simple as possible, but not boring either (though at this point boring would be ok, long as i can use it). IXwebhosting has the same site builder as host gator. I am now considering yahoo. I am willing to pay as much as twenty dollars a month, though i saw yahoo was cheaper than that. Hope someone can read all that and help me. Also, I want it to be reliable, price isnt a concern at this point, just tell me the site with the best templates and easy to use for someone who doesnt know html. Thanks in advance.
jetfrogz says:
Yahoo! Geocities is probably the best one out if you don’t want to know HTML code. However, HTML is like the DNA of a site, you should familiarize yourself with it. It would be best to learn it so you can make really nice sites. If you completely prefer not to don’t worry you still can make good sites. Depending on how crazy you want of a site may mean it might cost a small sum. Marcomedia Flash is a great tool for website design, and you need to know almost no code at all. However it is very expensive, but you don’t need to know HTML. If you have a tight budget than you can always use a GIF animator, although its more a pain to make graphics with, it works. See links below.
Hope this all helps! Happy Building!

Looking for a VPS…?
I’ve been using Godaddy’s shared hosting for a while, but as I’ve developed more sites that require more CPU usage, I’m thinking of getting a VPS to host my sites on, as shared hosting can’t handle my CPU intensive programs.
So, I’ve been looking around for a good VPS provider. Because I’ve been working with Godaddy, and there hasn’t been any problems with it (except some annoying customer support issues), it’s definitely on my list.
Another provider I’ve heard about is HostGator. One of my friends is using their shared hosting plan, and they have generally good reviews.
I’m asking here and not looking online, as it’s quite hard to get what seems like an unbiased opinion on hosting.
So, what’s your opinion on VPS providers? Thanks!

Slicehost and Linode are the most popular among developers.
Both have great features, are very fast and reliable and start from $20/month.

Yes I make money from Adsense, I won’t tell you how much, but put it this way, I don’t work for a living any more
